RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – HITACHI RAIL LTD (LNER EAST COAST)

 

RMT CALLS FURTHER STRIKE ACTION

 

The referendum resulted in an overwhelming majority of members rejecting the Company’s offer. The National Executive Committee has considered this matter again today and taken the decision to call further strike action. All members at Bounds Green and Craigentinny Train Maintenance Depots are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

 

• 17:59 hours on Thursday 29^th February 2024 until 17:58 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024

 

• 17:59 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024 until 17:58 hours on Saturday 2^nd March 2024

 

Your colleagues at Doncaster and London North Pole depots are also taking strike action over the same period.

 

Members who are facing financial hardship as a result of taking strike action can approach their union Branch and/or Regional Council for assistance in this matter. Funds have been made available to assist striking members experiencing hardship due to industrial action. 

 

I urge you to continue to stand firm together and support the industrial action until this matter is resolved. I will keep you advised of all further developments.
