RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – HITACHI RAIL LTD (LONDON NORTH POLE DEPOT)

 

RMT CALLS STRIKE ACTION

 

The referendum resulted in an overwhelming majority of members rejecting the Company’s offer. The National Executive Committee has considered this matter again today and taken the decision to call strike action. All members at London North Pole Maintenance Depot are instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

 

• 06:59 hours on Thursday 29^th February 2024 until 06:58 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024

 

• 06:59 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024 until 06:58 hours on Saturday 2^nd March 2024

 

Your colleagues at Bounds Green, Craigentinny and Doncaster depots are also taking strike action over the same period.

 

Members who are facing financial hardship as a result of taking strike action can approach their union Branch and/or Regional Council for assistance in this matter. Funds have been made available to assist striking members experiencing hardship due to industrial action. 

 

I urge you to continue to stand firm together and support the industrial action until this matter is resolved. I will keep you advised of all further developments.
