Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 – Merseyrail (Drivers and Associated Grades)

 

Referring to previous correspondence, I can report that RMT members narrowly voted to reject the company's offer in the recent e-referendum. The RMT convened a meeting on 22^nd February 2024 for affected members to discuss the next steps. However, due to a poor attendance at this meeting, your union did not receive any explicit guidance on how you and your colleagues wish to proceed on this matter. 

 

Noting that the RMT is the minority trade union in your grade and that the company has already implemented the pay award, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase is paid at the earliest opportunity  

 

For ease of reference, the accepted offer is as follows:

 

• 5.4% (RPI increase + 0.1%, based on November 2023 RPI of 5.3%) from the anniversary date of 1^stJanuary 2024.
