RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – STORY PLANT

 

A further meeting has taken placed between your union and the company earlier today, where your negotiating team made every attempt to attain a fresh offer. Unfortunately, Story Plant are determined to impede progress and were unwilling to even consider a one-off payment to end the dispute and conclude this matter.

 

It is therefore essential that you and your colleagues demonstrate your determination to stand firm together and make it clear to management that you demand a fair pay award, by securing a mandate for industrial action in the upcoming ballot. Notice has been served to the company yesterday, advising them that we will be balloting our members for industrial action and action short of a strike. 

 

Ballot papers will be despatched by the independent scrutineer next Wednesday 19^th June 2024 and will arrive at your home address after this date. Ballot papers must be returned to reach the independent scrutineer by Tuesday 9^thJuly 2024.

 

I urge you not to waste your vote and to vote 'YES' for strike action and 'YES' for industrial action short of a strike when your ballot arrives, and to return it as quickly as possible.
