Dear Colleagues

Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 – Arriva Rail London

Referring to previous correspondence, the e-referendum has now concluded and the result is as follows:

Question: Are you prepared to accept the company’s offer?

Votes Cast     264

Voting ‘Yes’    199

Voting ‘No’     65

Noting the result, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase is paid at the earliest opportunity

Therefore, the planned strike action on Arriva Rail London scheduled for Monday 4th March 2024 and Tuesday 5th March 2024 is now suspended. You are instructed to work as normal on Monday and Tuesday.

For ease of reference the accepted offer is as follows:

  • 2024 – An uplift on all pay and allowances of February RPI 2024 or a minimum payment of £1,750 for anyone with a salary of under £32,000
  • 2025 – An uplift on all pay and allowances of February RPI 2025 or a minimum payment for anyone earning less than £33,750, which will be negotiated in February 2025 as inflation forecasts become more accurate

All payments are backdated to the relevant pay anniversary. In addition, productivity talks are scheduled from 19th February until 15th March 2024.

I would like to place on record my congratulations to our members at London Overground for their support throughout this dispute.
