Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 - Bidvest Noonan (Alstom Northern Trains Ltd and Transpennine Express Contracts)

 

I have previously advised you of the ballot result and how, despite an overwhelming ‘YES’ vote being delivered, the turnout did not meet the stringent thresholds imposed by the government's anti-union laws. Following this disappointing outcome, workplace meetings have been convened to outline the next steps in the campaign to achieve an improvement in pay and conditions for Bidvest Noonan members.

 

Your National Executive Committee received reports of the discussions held and it has decided that a re-ballot of all affected members should take place. Consequently, the re-ballot opens on Monday 15^th January 2024. Therefore, next week the independent scrutineer will send a ballot paper to your home address. I urge you to complete and return your ballot paper in the freepost envelope provided as soon as you receive it.  

 

I urge you to keep up the support for your union and vote 'YES' for strike action and ‘YES’ for industrial action short of a strike in the forthcoming ballot. Due to the anti-trade union laws, now more than ever, it is massively important to get a big turnout and a strong vote in favour of action.
