Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 – Carlisle Support Services (Northern Trains Revenue and Gateline Contract)

 

Firstly, I would like to congratulate you for returning a magnificent result in the recent ballot. You have given your union a mandate to push forward in this dispute. Noting the ballot result, your union's National Executive Committee has considered the matter once more and it is calling all Carlisle Support Services members on the Northern Trains Revenue and Gateline Contract take the following strike action: 

 

Members are be instructed not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

 

• 00:01 hours on Wednesday 21^st February 2024 and 23:59 hours on Thursday 22^nd February 2024

 

Additionally, all members are instructed to take continuous industrial action short of a strike as outlined below: 

 

• Not to charge any work equipment at home, including mobile phones, body cams and printers from 00:01 hours on Friday 23^rd February until further notice.

 

Let's hope that this action will focus management's minds and get them back round the table to resolve this matter. Management probably believe that you are not prepared to stand up and fight on this issue, it is time to prove them wrong.

 

A decision has also been made regarding financial help and hardship payments due to taking strike action. Members who are facing significant hardship during the industrial action should contact their branch and/or regional council, who will have more information on this matter.
