Dear RMT Member,

 

RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – HITACHI RAIL (LNER EAST COAST)

 

Further to my previous correspondence, I can advise you that your industrial representatives from Craigentinny, Doncaster, and Bounds Green depots met with your Regional Organiser to consider a revised offer from the company. 

 

The unanimous views of your reps that the derisory offer was unacceptable as it did not amount to a significant improvement, and should be therefore rejected, and that the planned industrial action should remain in place. This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee, which has accordingly instructed me to advise the company of our rejection.

 

As a reminder, the upcoming action is not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

 

Bounds Green & Craigentinny

• 17:59 hours on Thursday 29^th February 2024 until 17:58 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024
• 17:59 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024 until 17:58 hours on Saturday 2^nd March 2024

 

Doncaster

• 00:01 hours until 23:59 hours on Thursday 29^th February 2024
• 00:01 hours until 23:59 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024

 

Members are once again commended for your resolve in standing firm to demand your employer negotiates a reasonable pay increase. I will keep members advised of all further developments.
