RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – HITACHI RAIL (LONDON NORTH POLE DEPOT)

 

Following the closure of the recent referendum, where you and your colleagues voted in an overwhelming majority to reject the derisory pay offer from your employer, it is clear that the company’s fully and final offer remains far below your reasonable aspirations.

 

Your union’s National Executive Committee has therefore instructed me to ballot all affected members for strike action and action short of strike action. I am currently making the necessary arrangements to commence with this ballot which will open next Wednesday 17^th January 2024.

 

It is essential that this upcoming ballot meets the thresholds imposed by the anti-trade union laws — I therefore urge you to vote ‘YES’ for industrial action and ‘YES’ for industrial action short of a strike so give your Union a strong mandate to resolve this dispute. 

 

In the meantime, I urge all members to ensure that their details are up to date with the RMT, by contacting the union if their job title, address, or workplace has recently changed.
