8th January 2024
Dear Colleagues
Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 – Royal Fleet Auxiliary
Referring to previous correspondence, the re-ballot of RFA members opens on Monday 15th January 2024. Therefore, next week theindependent scrutineer will send a ballot paper to your home address. I urge you to complete and return your ballot paper in the freepost envelope provided as soon as you receive it.
Make sure you vote to keep up the pressure on the RFA, keep your union strong to secure a better deal, keep the public support and keep your voice. Remember the law requires a 50% turnout from RMT members. Management will try to undermine the ballot by encouraging RMT members not to vote. Don't let them steal your voice.
I urge you to keep up the support for your union and vote 'YES' for strike action in the forthcoming ballot. Due to the anti-trade union laws, now more than ever, it is massively important to get a big turnout and a strong vote in favour of action.
MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR VOTE
If you do not receive your voting paper, or know of a colleague who has not received it, please call the freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706, RMT Head Office on 0207 387 4771 or e-mail to request a replacement.
Important Please Note: The independent scrutineer for RMT Ballots and Elections is 'Civica Election Services'. Letters from Civica are not Junk Mail and should be opened. |
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR STRIKE ACTION
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
