RMT CALLS FURTHER STRIKE ACTION – THURSDAY 1^ST AUGUST 2024

Dear Colleagues 

 

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – ROYAL FLEET AUXILIARY

 

Negotiations have taken place with the RFA to try and find a meaningful resolution to the dispute. Unfortunately, there has been little progress in achieving our aspirations and the need to apply more pressure to the RFA is needed.

 

Therefore, the Union’s National Executive Committee has considered the matter once more and it is calling on all RFA members to take the following strike action:

 

• If your ship is in port DO NOT TURN TO for any duty that commences between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Thursday 1^st August 2024.

 

 

I have no doubt that our members will support the above strike action and show RFA that we are determined to continue our fight for pay justice. 

 

I would once again like to congratulate you and your colleagues for the magnificent stance you have taken throughout this dispute. Your show of support towards the union and your fellow colleagues has been astounding
