Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 – Royal Fleet Auxiliary

 

Further to my previous correspondence with regards to the above matter, I am immensely proud of RMT members and the commitment and solidarity being shown. I know that the strike action next week will be supported by RMT members across the RFA Fleet and members will once again stand shoulder to shoulder and fight for pay justice.

 

In order to place maximum pressure on the RFA, the union’s National Executive Committee has considered the matter once more and it is calling on all RFA members to take the following strike action:

 

• If your ship is in port then my members will be instructed not to ‘turn to’ (book on) for any duty that commences between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Friday 4^th October 2024
• If your ship is in port then my members will be instructed not to ‘turn to’ (book on) for any duty that commences between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Tuesday 8^th October 2024

 

 

As a reminder the department-by-department strike action is scheduled for next week. As in previous strikes, if your ship is in port or tied to a buoy there will be picket lines in front of the Gangways. For ease of reference the times for the strike action next week is as follows:   

 

ALL DECK DEPARTMENT GRADES (Apprentice Deck, Bosun, Chief Petty Officer Deck, Deck Rating, Leading Hand Deck, Leading Hand Helicopter Controller, Petty Officer Deck, Seaman Grade)

 

• If your ship is in port DO NOT TURN TO for any duty that commences between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Monday 23^rd September 2024.

 

ALL CATERING/SUPPLY GRADES (Apprentice Chef, Assistant Chef, Chief Petty Officer Steward, Chief Petty Officer Supply Chain, Laundryman, Leading Hand Chef, Leading Hand Steward, Leading Hand Supply Accountant, Leading Hand Supply Chain, Medical Technician, Officer (Logistics Supply), Petty Officer Chef, Petty Officer Logistics, Petty Officer Medic, Petty Officer Steward, Petty Officer Supply Accountant, Petty Officer Supply Chain, Steward, Stewardess, RMT/RFA Convenor)

 

• If your ship is in port DO NOT TURN TO for any duty that commences between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Tuesday 24^th September 2024.

 

ALL ENGINE ROOM AND COMMUNICATIONS INFORMATION SYSTEMS GRADES(Apprentice Communications, Apprentice Engineer, Chief Petty Officer Communications, Chief Petty Officer Engine, Communications Grade, Leading Hand Communications, Leading Hand Engine, Mortorman Grade, Officer (Engineering), Officer (System Engineer), Petty Officer Communications, Petty Officer Engine)

 

• If your ship is in port DO NOT TURN TO for any duty that commences between 00:01 hours and 23:59 hours on Wednesday 25^th September 2024.
