Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2023 – Royal Fleet Auxiliary 

 

Referring to previous correspondence, I can report that last week your union’s negotiating team and Representatives from Nautilus UK met with senior civil servants and the Commodore to discuss the pay dispute. At the meeting, the following offer was tabled by management:

 

“All employees will receive a 6.5% pay award plus £1,000 consolidated into base pay (pro rata based on FTE). This represents a significant increase over the Civil Service Pay Remit Guidance to reflect the importance of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and to set a foundation for the development of significant reform in coming years.” 

 

However, this pay award is not ‘string-free’ and there are stipulations and conditions attached to the offer. I am currently seeking urgent clarification from the RFA/MoD on the stipulations and conditions in revised pay offer. When I have received a response then I will arrange for this matter to be placed back before the union’s National Executive Committee.
