RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023 – STAGECOACH SOUTH WINCHESTER (ENGINEERING)

 

Negotiations have been held between your union and Stagecoach management over the 2023 pay increase for Engineering grades at Winchester. At the conclusion of the initial round of talks, the company tabled the following offer:

 

• 2% increase from 1st September 2023
• 2% increase from 12th November 2023
• 4% increase from 10th December 2023

 

• Back pay to apply from 1st September 2023 and the next anniversary date will be 1st September 2024.

 

Your Regional Organiser has consulted your representatives and has reported that the offer should be rejected as it compares unfavourably to pay deals secured at other Stagecoach South depots, and that further negotiations be held to seek an improved offer, while a failure to do so would lead to a dispute and possible ballot of members for industrial action.

 

This report and recommendations have been endorsed by your union’s National Executive Committee. Your Regional Organiser will now therefore seek further negotiations to obtain an improved pay offer and management will be made aware that a failure to reach such an agreement could lead to a ballot of members.
