Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Caledonian Sleeper Ltd

 

First of all, I would like to congratulate all members for voting ‘YES’ in the ballot. You have given your union a mandate to push forward in this dispute. 

 

I can report that the Caledonian Sleeper have once again failed to provide any meaningful proposals for this union to consider. Management did table a multi-year proposal, however, this was rejected straightaway by the union’s negotiating team, as it was barely an improvement on the first offer which this union rejected.   

 

Having discussed this matter with your Representatives, your union’s National Executive Committee is calling on all affected members to take the following industrial action:

 

From 00:01 hours on Friday 30^th August 2024 until further notice members are instructed:

 

• Not to work any overtime 
• Not to work on a rest day
• Not to undertake any higher-grade duties

 

Let’s hope that this action will focus management’s minds and get them back round the table to resolve this matter. Management probably believe that you are not prepared to stand up and fight on this issue, it is time to prove them wrong.
