Dear RMT Member,

 

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 — COLAS RAIL

 

Referring to previous correspondence, your negotiating team have continued discussions with the company to secure an improved offer, which is as follows:

 

• 4.6% increase in basic salaries with effect from 1^st April 2024.
• Increase in allowances which are percentage based, such as contracts with rostered nights, weekends, on-call etc. As well as the OTM additional weekend payments.

 

In addition to the above, the company has agreed to remove the item of Per Diem payments to allow for appropriate discussion via the machinery of negotiation, as requested by members.

 

Having carefully considered the offer, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to hold an e-referendum with a recommendation to vote ‘YES’ to ACCEPT the offer. Members are advised that a rejection of this offer will lead to an immediate ballot for strike action and action short of a strike.

 

The referendum will close at 11:00am on Tuesday 13^th August 2024. 

 

Referendum Instructions

 

Members will shortly receive an email from 'RMT Referenda' which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 11:00am on Tuesday 13^th August 2024.
