REMINDER TO VOTE – REFERENDUM CLOSES AT 10:00AM TUESDAY 10THSEPTEMBER 2024
Dear RMT Member,
RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – DARTLINE
Further to my previous correspondence, the e-referendum is open for members to vote until 10:00am on Tuesday 10th September 2024, and I urge you to cast your vote to have your say on the offer. As a reminder, the offer is:
Option One
Year 1 – Effective 31st March 2024
- The Dartline headline drivers’ hourly rate of £13.75 will increase to £14.30
- All other grades and covered by the collective agreement will increase by 4%
- The minimum increase to be applied to any hourly rate will be £0.55p
- The company wide minimum hourly rate will be £12.48
- Initial sick pay benefit scheme will be implemented (as soon as reasonably practicable)
- 80% of minimum guaranteed hours times two weeks
- 50% of minimum guaranteed hours times two weeks
- Access to Go Ahead pension scheme and scheme benefits will be implemented (as soon as reasonably practicable)
- Funded access to WPA NHS top up scheme at level 1 will be funded for all employees (as soon as reasonably practicable)
Year 2 – Effective 30th March 2025
- All rates will increase by CPI plus 1% or
- The Dartline headline drivers’ hourly rate of £14.30 will increase to £15.08
- All other grades covered by the collective agreement will increase by 5.45%
- The minimum increase to be applied to any hourly rate will be £0.78p
- The company wide minimum hourly rate will be £13.16
- Sick pay benefit scheme will be expanded as follows:
- Less than 1 years’ service = 80% x two weeks and 50% x two weeks
- 1 to 5 years’ service = 80% x four weeks and 50% x four weeks
- More than five years’ service = 80% x twelve weeks and 50% x twelve weeks
Option Two – Effective 31st March 2024
- The Dartline headline drivers’ hourly rate of £13.75 will increase to £14.35
- All other grades and covered by the collective agreement will increase by 4.36%
- The minimum increase to be applied to any hourly rate will be £0.60p
- The company wide minimum hourly rate will be £12.52
- Initial sick pay benefit scheme will be introduced as soon as reasonably practicable:
- Less than 1 years’ service = 80% x two weeks and 50% x two weeks
- 1 to 5 years’ service = 80% x four weeks and 50% x four weeks
- More than five years’ service = 80% x twelve weeks and 50% x twelve weeks
The union’s National Executive Committee has considered the views of your Lead Officer and recommends that you vote to ACCEPT OPTION ONE.
