Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Heysham Port Ltd (Peel Ports)

 

In line with union policy, a pay submission for an increase in pay and improved terms and conditions has been submitted. The Regional Organiser has met with the company and the following offer has been tabled:

 

• 3% base rate award.  
• 3% uplift on split shift allowance.
• Nights allowance increase up to £700 per employee per annum for Terminal Operatives, representing a 40% uplift from current rates. 
• Nights allowance increase up to £940 per employee per annum for Terminal Team Leaders, representing a 88% uplift from current rates. 
• Access to the salary sacrifice holiday buy and sell scheme for up to 5 days annually 
• An attendance bonus to the value of up to £600 per employee per annum. 

 

Consequently, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to hold an e-referendum of you and your colleagues so that you can have your say. Additionally, the National Executive Committee is recommending that you vote ‘NO’ to reject this offer.

 

The on-line referendum will close at 10:00 hours on Thursday 26^th September 2024.

Members will shortly receive an email from 'RMT Referenda' which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 10am on Thursday 26^th September 2024.
