RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – HITACHI RAIL (LNER)

 

I wrote to you on 26^th January 2024 announcing “Additional Strike Action Called” in which I listed a series of dates instructing you to take strike action. Following further discussions with your representatives, your union’s National Executive Committee has suspended strike action on the following dates:

 

• Sunday 18^th February 2024
• Tuesday 20^th February 2024
• Wednesday 21^st February 2024

 

You should book on and work as normal on the above dates.

 

However, all other strike action listed remains on – i.e. Saturday 17^th February, Saturday 24^th February.

 

Additionally, the strike action announced yesterday also continues. To reiterate, you should not book on for duties which commence between the following times:

 

Bounds Green & Craigentinny

• 17:59 hours on Thursday 29^th February 2024 until 17:58 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024
• 17:59 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024 until 17:58 hours on Saturday 2^nd March 2024

Doncaster

• 00:01 hours until 23:59 hours on Thursday 29^th February 2024
• 00:01 hours until 23:59 hours on Friday 1^st March 2024

 

Your determination to win pay justice in this dispute shows no sign of weakening and is a clear message to management that they must get round the table and come up with an improved offer. I have of course advised the company that your union is available for talks to resolve this dispute and I will keep you advised of all further developments.
