Dear Colleagues
Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – MTR Elizabeth Line (Control Room Grades)
Referring to previous correspondence, pay talks have re-convened and the following revised offer has been received in respect of the Control Room Grades:
- One Year Pay Award backdated to 1st April 2024
- A 4.5% increase in headline salary which represents February 2024 RPI to the Duty Control Manager (DCM), Customer Experience Controller (CEC) and Service Delivery Resource Manager (SDRM) grades
- Two additional annual leave days, obtained through roster efficiencies in the form of the re-purposing of existing Team Days*
*Customer Experience Controllers (Central) to repurpose two training days that are locally amended to team days
The union’s National Executive Committee notes that while the percentage figure offered is viewed as favourable, this offer overall fails to meet the aspirations of our members in this regard. This is on account of the failure of the company to appropriately address the outstanding issue of a reduction in the working week from 36 to 35 hours and an increase in annual leave provision in line with other Control Grades employed within Transport for London. These issues are in fact long outstanding from previous pay agreements, so it is completely unacceptable that they remain unresolved despite the best efforts of our representatives.
Consequently, the National Executive Committee has rejected the above offer. The company has been informed of our rejection of their offer and a meeting has been requested to seek an improved offer.
I will of course, keep you advised of all further developments.
Yours sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
