Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 - Bespoke Facilities Management (Hitachi Rail Doncaster)

 

By now you should have received your ballot paper from our independent scrutineer which was posted to your home address on Thursday 11^th April 2024. I cannot stress enough how vital it is that we achieve the highest possible turnout so that we can meet the thresholds demanded by the current strict anti-trade union legislation. 

 

I urge you to vote 'YES' for strike action and ‘YES’ for industrial action short of a strike in overwhelming numbers to show Bespoke Facilities Management that you are willing to fight for a pay deal which will reward you handsomely for your hard work and offer real improvements to your terms and conditions.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON BALLOT THRESHOLDS

 

Since the Trade Union Act 2016 introduced even more restrictive anti-trade union laws, all ballots must meet a threshold where at least 50% of all eligible members must vote and 40% of all those eligible to vote must vote yes.

 

As a result of these draconian restrictions every single vote counts. A simple majority is no longer enough so you cannot rely on other colleagues to get the vote over the line.
