Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Briggs Marine (Sheerness)
Pay talks have taken place and the company offered a 3.5% pay increase, management has advised that this represents the ‘final offer’ and is based on previous pay uplifts. The union’s negotiating team queried those uplifts and this resulted in the company furnishing your union with the below table. The table also includes the differential for 2024.

The union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to hold an e-referendum of you and your colleagues so that you can have your say on the offer. Should members vote to reject this offer, then it will result in this union balloting members for industrial action.
The online referendum will close at 10.30am on Tuesday 20th August 2024.

Members will shortly receive an email from 'RMT Referenda' which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 10:30 hours on Tuesday 20th August 2024.
