Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Briggs Marine (Sheerness) 

 

Referring to previous correspondence, I can report that since members rejected the company’s pay offer talks have continued between your union and management. Although these talks have been positive, to date, no improved offer has been tabled. Therefore, in order to place maximum pressure on Briggs Marine, the union’s negotiating team has requested that the union enters into dispute with the company.   

 

Having considered this matter, the National Executive Committee has instructed me to advise management that this union is now in dispute with Briggs Marine. This instruction has been carried out. I have advised the company that this union remains available for meaningful talks in order resolve this dispute.
