RMT CALLS INDUSTRIAL ACTION

 

Dear RMT Member, 

 

RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – CAF RAIL (WALES & BORDERS)

 

Following the return of a magnificent mandate for industrial action and your overwhelming rejection of the company’s derisory pay offer, your National Executive Committee has congratulated members for your resolve and commitment. 

 

The National Executive Committee has considered the views of your Lead Officer and representative and has taken the decision to instruct all CAF Rail members at Chester to not to book on for any shifts that commence between:

 

• 17:59 hours on Sunday 29^th September 2024 until 06:59 hours on Tuesday 1^st October 2024

 

• 17:59 hours on Friday 4^th October 2024 until 06:59 hours on Saturday 5^th October 2024

 

Additionally, members are instructed not to undertake rest day working, overtime, and higher-grade duties between: 

 

• 07:00 hours on Tuesday 1^st October 2024 until 17:58 hours on Friday 4^th October 2024

 

• 07:00 hours on Saturday 5^th October 2024 until further notice.

 

I urge you to stand firm together and support the industrial action until this matter is resolved. I will keep you advised of all further developments.
