RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – CAF RAIL (WALES & BORDERS)

 

Negotiations have been ongoing between the RMT and CAF Rail, and your negotiating team have attempted to secure a reasonable pay award for you and your colleagues. However, there has been no improvement forthcoming since the offer was rejected by members in a referendum. 

 

The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and noted the views of your Lead Officer and representatives. Therefore, it has taken the decision to inform the company that a dispute situation now exists over this matter and to ballot members for strike action and industrial action short of a strike.

 

I have advised the Company accordingly and am currently making preparations to conduct the ballot.
