Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Caledonian Sleeper
Referring to previous correspondence, the e-referendum has now concluded and the result is as follows:

Voting ‘Yes’ 103
Voting ‘No’ 10
Noting the result, the National Executive Committee has instructed me to inform the company of our acceptance of the offer. This instruction has been carried out and I have requested that the increase and any back monies are paid at the earliest opportunity. For ease of reference, the accepted pay offer is as follows:
- A 4.5% increase which will be backdated to 1st April 2024.
In addition to the above the following items also apply:
- A commitment from the company to take steps towards reducing the working week to 35hrs for all employees by 31st December 2026.
- Increase of the Season Ticket allowance in England by 4.9% for 2024 in line with rail ticket prices.
- An increase of the London Allowance in line with the pay award of 4.5%.
- The development of Caledonian Sleeper Ltd Apprentice scheme in 2024/25.
- A review of Sleeper Stars Recognition Scheme giving a monetary voucher.
- A review Premature Baby Policy by 31st of March 2025.
- Diversity Training for all employees.
- The launch of the Caledonian Sleeper Ltd Volunteering Day.
- Implementation of RMT/ Caledonian Sleeper Ltd Learning Framework.
- A move from current Caledonian Sleeper Ltd Healthshield policy to the new Caledonian Sleeper Ltd Healthshield policy when practicable, which is broadly comparable to the Scotrail Medicash cover. (In addition, in January 2025, the company will retender for the renewal to get the best value for employees and will engage with RMT on the process).
