RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 - DARTLINE
Your RMT Lead Officer and Rep have held a series of talks with Dartline regarding our claim for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. The latest offer which was received from the Company is as follows:
Year 1 – Effective 31st March 2024:
- Dartline drivers’ hourly rate increase from £13.75 to £14.30
- All other grades covered by the collective agreement will receive a 4% increase
- Minimum increase of £0.55p per hour for all hourly rates
- Company-wide minimum hourly rate of £12.48
- Initial sick pay benefit scheme implementation
- 80% of minimum guaranteed hours for two weeks
- 50% of minimum guaranteed hours for two weeks
- Access to Go Ahead pension scheme and benefits (as soon as reasonably practicable)
- Funded access to WPA NHS top-up scheme at level 1 for all employees (as soon as reasonably practicable)
- Access to Hapi App and discounts (as soon as reasonably practicable)
Year 2 – Effective 30th March 2025:
- Dartline drivers’ hourly rate will increase by CPI plus 1% as published in March 2025 or by the same pence per hour increase applied to Plymouth Citybus Ltd drivers, whichever is greater
- All other grades will receive the same percentage increase as drivers
- Minimum increase equivalent to the monetary value applied to drivers
- Expanded sick pay benefit scheme
- Less than 1 year of service: 80% x two weeks and 50% x two weeks
- 1 to 5 years of service: 80% x four weeks and 50% x four weeks More than 5 years of service: 80% x twelve weeks and 50% x twelve weeks
Following a consultation of you and your colleagues, the National Executive Committee considered a report received from your Lead Officer recommending that an improved offer is sought from the Company to reduce the differential in pay between Dartline and Go-Ahead Plymouth.
Your Lead Officer has now commenced further negotiations with the Company and I will keep you advised of all further developments.
