RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – DOPPELMAYR CABLE CAR

 

STRIKE ACTION THIS WEEKEND IS SUSPENDED

 

Earlier today a revised offer was received from DCC and the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to suspend the strike action this weekend from Saturday 5th October to Sunday 6th October. Please book on for your shifts and work as normal. The other strike action dates from Saturday 12th October currently remain in place while you and your colleagues are consulted on the revised offer.

 

Your Lead Officer reports that the below offer represents a significant improvement and addresses most of our key demands. Please provide your comments and feedback on the offer to your RMT Reps and I will keep you advised of all further developments.

 

The revised offer is as follows:

 

  • A 3.3% pay increase (CPIH + 0.5%), backdated to 1st May 2024. 
  • A CPIH + 0.5% increase, effective 1st May 2025 and 1st May 2026
  • A 3.5 hour reduction in the working week from 44 hours to 40.5 hours, including paid meal breaks. 
  • Bank holidays to be paid at double time. 
  • Paternity leave increased from 2 to 4 weeks on full pay.
  • Maternity paid at 90% weekly salary for 6 weeks, then 35% of weekly salary for the remaining 33 weeks. 
  • Introduction of a premature baby policy resulting in a maximum 7 additional days related to premature birth before 37 weeks. 
  • An additional 2 weeks increase on the current full sick pay policy. Employees would be eligible for the additional 2 weeks after 2 years of continuous employment.
  • A reduction in the time that an Uber can be requested to 00:15, subject to conditions and as currently in place.
