Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – DHL Welham Green

Our Ref: RT/0001/DHL(WG)

12th June 2024

Dear RMT Member,

Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – DHL Welham Green

In line with Union policy, a claim was submitted to the Company for a substantial increase in rates of pay and improvements to conditions of service. Talks have taken place with the Company and after the first three offers were rejected, the ‘best and final’ offer which was received is as follows:

  • A 4% increase to basic rates of pay, effective 1st April 2024

  • Change sickness absence waiting days from 2 to 3 before company sick pay could be paid – drivers given an additional day of annual leave or a bonus payment of £180 if they have 100% attendance in 12 months (no occasions of unauthorised absence).

The National Executive Committee has considered a report received from your Lead Officer and has instructed me to conduct an e-referendum of you and your colleagues with a recommendation to vote ‘NO’ to reject the offer. I must also advise you that a rejection of the offer will likely lead to a dispute with DHL and a ballot of you and your colleagues for strike action and/or action short of a strike.

The on-line referendum will close on at 10am on Thursday 20th June 2024.
