RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – NETWORK RAIL

 

I write to advise you that the referendum has now closed, and the result is as follows: -

 

Are you prepared to accept the proposals?

 

Votes Cast:                  13366

Voting ‘Yes’:                11864

Voting ‘No’:                 1502

 

Congratulations on your patience and determination during this lengthy negotiation that started under one government and concluded under another. 

 

This ends a period of national dispute, which started in March 2020 with what amounts to an industry-wide settlement that members of Network Rail and the Train Operating companies voted overwhelmingly to accept. 

 

RMT members have stood united in our aspirations to defend the railway and secure jobs for the future. We entered this dispute together and have come out together with a united and stronger RMT Union. 

 

Negotiations for your pay and conditions award for 2025 will now commence opening with a Business Council meeting on the 22^nd of October 2024. 

 

I will seek the implementation of this pay deal and ask for backpay to be issued as soon as possible.
