Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Southern Vectis (Go South Coast)

 

In line with union policy, a submission for an increase in pay and improved terms and conditions has been presented. The union’s negotiating team has met with the company and the following offer has been tabled:

 

• A 4.3% increase to rates of pay for drivers and engineering grades from the 26^th May 2024
• A 3.1% additional increase to these rates will take effect from Sunday 1^st December 2024
• A minimum of a 2.5% increase from Sunday 1^st June 2025 but linked to the May 2025 Office of National Statistics published rate of the Retail Prices Index (RPI) such that, if RPI is more than 1.0% greater than the 2.5% offered, the actual increase applied will increase by 0.1% for every 0.1% in RPI over and above 3.5%. If the RPI rate published in May 2025 is lower than 2.5%, the company will take the financial risk on this and will pay 2.5%

 

Having carefully considered the offer, the union’s National Executive Committee has instructed me to hold an e-referendum of you and your colleagues so that you can have your say on it

 

Additionally, the National Executive Committee is strongly recommending that you vote ‘YES’ to accept this offer. The referendum will close at midday on Thursday 23^rd May 2024.

Members will shortly receive an email from 'RMT Referenda' which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 12:00 hours on Thursday 23^rd May 2024.
