Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service 2024 – Southern Vectis (Go South Coast)

 

The referendum has now concluded and the result is as follows:

 

Total Votes Cast…                     135

Number Voting Yes…                 126

Number Voting No…                  9

 

This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee, which has taken the decision to inform the Company of our acceptance of the offer. For your ease of reference, the accepted offer is as follows:

 

• A 4.3% increase to rates of pay for drivers and engineering grades from the 26^th May 2024

 

• A 3.1% additional increase to these rates will take effect from Sunday 1^st December 2024

 

• A minimum of a 2.5% increase from Sunday 1^st June 2025 but linked to the May 2025 Office of National Statistics published rate of the Retail Prices Index (RPI) such that, if RPI is more than 1.0% greater than the 2.5% offered, the actual increase applied will increase by 0.1% for every 0.1% in RPI over and above 3.5%. If the RPI rate published in May 2025 is lower than 2.5%, the company will take the financial risk on this and will pay 2.5%
