RATES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 - TRANSPORT FOR WALES RAIL (STATIONS, CLERICAL & ADMIN GRADES)

 

Further to my previous correspondence of 31^st July 2024, I am writing provide an update in relation to the pay talks.

 

You will be aware that the most recent pay offer from the company to date was as follows:

 

• 2 Year Offer
• Year One - 3% increase applicable from 1^stApril 2024
• Year Two - RPI increase (February 2025) applicable from 1^st April 2025

 

At a meeting held earlier this week, the company was advised by your negotiators that this offer fails to meet the aspiration of RMT members.  Whilst no improved offer was forthcoming at the meeting, it was agreed that further negotiations would take place concerning Station Grades (Stations Restructuing Initiative), with those meetings to be held on 20^th and 29^th August 2024.

 

It is envisaged that following the conclusion of this process that a revised pay offer will be made. However, your negotiating team has advised the company in no uncertain terms that RMT will not accept any pay proposal that would see an erosion of our members’ terms and conditions.

 

I will of course keep you informed of any further developments but please be assured that RMT remains determined to achieve the best possible pay award for our members during the negotiations.
