RATES OF PAY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2023/2024
FREIGHTLINER HEAVY HAUL
Your union is convening a special meeting at Ebenezer’s in Crewe at 6.30pm on Wednesday 21st August 2024. All RMT Freightliner Heavy Haul members are invited to attend.
Your Lead Officer, Daren Ireland, will be present at this meeting and it will be an opportunity for members to ask questions about the current pay dispute. The address is as follows:

The closing date for the ballot is Thursday 29th August, so if you haven’t done so already, now is the time to vote. Due to balloting laws I cannot stress enough how important it is that you fill in your ballot paper and return it as quickly as possible.
If you have not received your ballot paper or know of a colleague who has not received it, please call us on 0800 376 3706 or e-mail info@rmt.org.uk as soon as possible.
IMPORTANT NOTE ON BALLOT THRESHOLDS
Since the Trade Union Act 2016 introduced even more restrictive anti-trade union laws, all ballots must meet a threshold where at least 50% of all eligible members must vote and 40% of all those eligible to vote must vote yes.
As a result of these draconian restrictions every single vote counts. A simple majority is no longer enough so you cannot rely on other colleagues to get the vote over the line.
Therefore, I urge you to complete and return your voting paper as soon as you receive it to demand a revised and much improved pay offer. Please complete your ballot paper and make sure you return it by first post, Thursday 29th August 2024.
