Rates of Pay and Conditions of Service - Offshore Diving Industry Agreement 

 

Further to previous correspondence on the above matter, I can report that the union’s negotiating team has met with ODIA signatories yesterday. After a mammoth round of talks yesterday, which began at 8am and concluded after 9pm, the ODIA signatories tabled an improved pay offer. 

 

Following receipt of the improved offer the union’s negotiation team were in unanimous agreement that these proposals represent the best achievable through negotiation. The improved offer is a multi-year deal, which has a proposed first year pay increase of 15% and is worth 24% over the three years of the pay award. Additionally, the improved offer sees the phased return of all the public holidays which were sacrificed in 2015. 

     

In light of these developments and having discussed this matter with the union's negotiating team, the union's National Executive Committee has agreed to suspend all the planned industrial action. Accordingly, all ODIA members should now work as normal between Wednesday 14^th August 2024 and Monday 14^th October 2024. The National Executive Committee has also instructed me to pause the re-ballot of the Helix Well Ops GDC members. 

 

The union will conduct an electronic referendum so that you can have you say on the improved offer. I will write again in the coming days with full details of the revised offer and information on the e-referendum.
