Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2018 – ODIA


Referring to my previous correspondence, I write to you again to update you on the latest developments in this dispute.


Currently the record updates are taking place and I thank you for confirming and informing us of any changes to your details. I have been contacted by the ODIA signatories’ chairman who has asked for talks at ACAS as per the following clause in the ODIA agreement


“3.4 a) The Parties agree to invite ACAS to assist with, and agree to participate in, conciliation or mediation in circumstances where resolution of differences has failed to reach agreement, before any unilateral action is taken by either side.”


I have replied to this correspondence and informed the chairman that he should contact Regional Organiser Jake Molloy to agree a mutually convenient diary date for talks to take place. It will be made clear to the signatories that they must reconsider their offer or talks will be pointless. Make no mistake, this does not mean that the ballot preparations will cease, indeed your union is making every effort to ensure that everything will be in place in case these ACAS talks break down so that we can move to serve the ballot notices.
