Rates of Pay & Conditions of Service 2018 – Unipart Rail Crewe
Firstly, I would like to congratulate you and your colleagues for returning a phenomenal result in the ballot for industrial action. This result provides the union with a clear mandate to fight against below-RPI rate pay offers.
Your union’s National Executive Committee has now had the opportunity to consider this fantastic result that you and your colleagues returned in favour of taking strike action and action short of a strike and has taken the decision to call on all Unipart Rail Crewe members to take industrial action by not booking on for any shifts that commence between:-
• 00:01 and 23:59 hours on Wednesday 13th June 2018
You and your colleagues have already demonstrated a clear sense of solidarity and unity. Now is the time to back this result up with a solid display of industrial action. I urge all members to stand firm together and support this action. Your union believes that you should be adequately rewarded for all your hard work. The company believes that they can pay their workers a pittance and get away with it. It is time to prove them wrong.
The company are aware that as always, RMT remains available for talks and is ready to enter into negotiations in order resolve the current dispute.
STAND FIRM TOGETHER – SUPPORT THE STRIKE
UNITY IS STRENGTH
