Dear Colleague,
RECOGNITION – AGS ONE
Following discussions between RMT officials and management of AGS One, I am pleased to report that a union recognition agreement has been signed by both your union and the company, and that RMT is now the officially recognised union for collective bargaining purposes for staff employed by AGS One.
As existing members of RMT, you will already be aware of some of the many benefits of RMT membership. Now that RMT is the officially recognised union where you work, you and your colleagues have access to further collective benefits, including, but not limited to:
- The right to elect an RMT representative, who should be released on full pay by AGS One when engaged in RMT duties on behalf of RMT members at AGS One.
- The right to make an annual, collective claim for a pay rise, that your employer will consider, in negotiation with your RMT representative(s).
Full training will be arranged for anyone wishing to take on the role of RMT union representative at AGS One, and anyone interested in this role should email Jon Avis in our South East Regional Office on rmtsoutheast@rmt.org.uk.
Although our new recognition agreement with AGS One is welcome news, I would like to remind you that RMT is only as strong as its members. In other words, RMT can bargain most effectively for your rights if most of your colleagues at AGS One are also members of the union.
With that in mind, I would like to ask you please to circulate this information amongst your non-RMT colleagues and encourage them also to join their union using this link or the QR code below:
Yours sincerely,
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
