Dear Colleague,

Removal of Detrainment Staff, Waterloo, Waterloo & City Line
London Underground

Further to previous correspondence regarding this dispute, you and your colleagues are commended for the solidarity and support you have shown during the industrial action to date and the ongoing refusal to enter the sidings to reverse until the train has been physically checked and doors closed on porter buttons.

Due to changes to balloting legislation in the 2016 Trade Union Act, the current mandate for action will expire on Thursday 14th February 2019. As this dispute remains unresolved the National Executive Committee has taken the decision to conduct a re-ballot. Ballot papers will be posted to you and your colleagues on Wednesday 16th January 2019 and the closing date for the ballot is Thursday 31st January 2019. Please vote as soon as you receive your ballot paper and return it in the freepost envelope provided.

If you do not receive your voting paper, or know of a colleague who has not received it, please call the freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706, RMT Head Office on 0207 387 4771 to ask for the Industrial Relations Department or e-mail info@rmt.org.uk to request a replacement.

MAKE SURE YOU USE YOUR VOTE
VOTE ‘YES’ FOR INDUSTRIAL ACTION SHORT OF A STRIKE

I will keep you advised of all further developments.

Yours sincerely

Mick Cash
General Secretary
