To All RMT TRAIN OPERATORS & INSTRUCTOR OPERATORS at LEYTONSTONE
Our Ref: LUL/14/10

REMOVAL OF DETRAINMENT STAFF, WATERLOO, WATERLOO & CITY LINE
The long-running industrial action in this dispute, where you and your colleagues have refused to enter the sidings at Waterloo to reverse until the train has been physically checked and doors closed on porter buttons, has been solidly supported since September 2018 and you are all congratulated for your support.
Under balloting laws, it is now necessary to re-ballot members every 6 months to get another ‘YES’ vote for the ballot mandate to remain live. Therefore, it is now time for you to vote ‘YES’ again in protest at company’s reckless approach to detrainment. The facts remain that the removal of detrainment staff from the Waterloo & City Line at Waterloo Station puts passengers in danger and leaves members in an unsafe position and at risk when entering the sidings.
Ballot papers will be posted to you and your colleagues on Monday 24th June 2019 and the closing date for the ballot is Tuesday 16th July 2019. Please vote as soon as you receive your ballot paper and return it in the freepost envelope provided.
If you do not receive your voting paper, or know of a colleague who has not received it, please call the freephone helpline on 0800 376 3706, RMT Head Office on 0207 387 4771 to ask for the Industrial Relations Department or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org to request a replacement.
