REORGANISATION & REDUNDANCY, TRACK RENEWALS SERVICES (SUPPLY CHAIN OPERATIONS) HIGH OUTPUT — NETWORK RAIL ROUTE SERVICES

 

A resolution has been received from York & District Branch regarding a communication from Network Rail, which has been issued to High Output members who have expressed their interest in accepting voluntary redundancy. Serious concerns have been raised over the long-term implications of the offer.

 

The company letter states:

 

“Your lump sum redundancy payment will be made and accepted in full compensation for termination of your employment with Network Rail. There is no entitlement to any further compensation with regards to any aspect of your employment with Network Rail.”

 

This has been considered by the National Executive Committee, and in accordance with its decision I have written to Network Rail seeking urgent clarification of the above paragraph, and an extension to the deadline for acceptance, so that members can make a fully informed decision regarding the implications of the offer.
