REST DAY WORKING PAYMENTS – GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY

 

The RMT has been made aware that a Rest Day Working agreement for GWR Driver grades has been reached between our sister Union ASLEF and Great Western Railway. The agreement will see the minimum payment for Rest Day Working increase to 1.50 (time and a half hourly rate) and a minimum of 9 hours 30 minutes.

 

Therefore, your Union has raised this issue with GWR and requested for negotiations to commence on Rest Day Working payments for other grades within the company, to achieve an increase across the company/grade groups.

 

I am currently awaiting a formal response to this request from GWR and I will, of course, update you on developments as and when they arise.
