RETAINED EMPLOYMENT MODEL CONSULTATION, MACHYNLLETH DEPOT -  TRANSPORT FOR WALES

 

I write with regards to the above matter and to inform you that your Regional Organiser and Fleet Representatives have recently attended several consultation meetings with TfW to discuss the above matter. I have received a report from the Regional Organiser, together with a FAQ document from the company, indicating that the commencement date of the REM secondment has been delayed until September 2025. 

 

The Regional Organiser reports that a further meeting with TfW is due to take place on Thursday 5^th December 2024 and will report back on the situation, following conclusion of the meeting. 

 

I can also advise you that the Regional Organiser has arranged two online briefing meetings for our TfW members located at the Machynlleth Depot to attend, to answer any questions or concerns they may have on this very important issue.

 

The matter has been considered by the union’s National Executive Committee who note the report from the Lead Officer and the FAQ document, which has been developed to inform affected staff. The Executive Committee has instructed me to circulate the FAQ document and details of the scheduled online meetings to our affected members.
