TO ALL MANAGED STATION STAFF AT NETWORK RAIL ON ROLE CLARITY CONTRACTS
MANAGED STATION STAFF – UNION IN DISPUTE WITH NETWORK RAIL
ROLE CLARITY CONTRACTS - BAND 5 TO 8 WORKING GROUPS - NETWORK RAIL
Further to my letter of 4th June 2020 in which I detailed the major concerns for our Managed Stations members and in which I notified you that this Union has now entered into dispute with the Company, I am writing to provide you with further information on the matter.
It is our intention that our concerns over your contract of employment are met through continuing discussion with the Company. But our commitment to a negotiated settlement also requires Network Rail to show an interest in resolving the issue and make an offer that satisfies the reasonable demands that we have raised.
If the matter is not resolved to our satisfaction then the union’s NEC will consider a ballot of members affected by the Network Rail’s failure to act over these long-existing concerns.
Therefore, I urge you all to ensure your details are correct in preparation for a possible ballot. If your job title, address or workplace has recently changed, then please contact the RMT Freephone Helpline number on 0800 376 3706, the RMT switchboard on 0207 387 4771 or e-mail HYPERLINK "mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org" email@example.com. Additionally, if you are aware of a colleague who has recently moved, changed their contact details, changed their job role or moved workplaces then ask them to contact the union using one of the above contact methods.
It is vital that we ensure the settlement you deserve for the work you do at Network Rail’s Managed Stations. I would urge you to encourage any colleague you know who isn’t in our union to join – the more members we have the louder the voice we speak with and best ensure a fair deal for you and your colleagues.
I will keep members fully informed of developments.
