Dear RMT Member,
ROSTER REVIEW, RSOS – CARLISLE SUPPORT SERVICES (ARL CONTRACT)
Following over a year of negotiations regarding changes to the roster, CSS has finally produced a set of proposals that address several issues and provide fair renumeration for weekend work.
The company have proposed that:
In recognition of the additional commitment and flexibility required from employees for working on Sundays, CSS are proposing the introduction of a £20 Sunday shift allowance. This allowance would be applicable to all employees performing RSO duties and would serve to acknowledge the importance of Sunday shifts in delivering reliable services to the public.
To ensure that CSS are able to maintain service delivery consistently across the week, this proposal would also involve adjusting working rosters to cover service provision over seven days. CSS believe this measure would strike a balance between ensuring fair compensation for staff and meeting the operational needs of the service.
The company are hopeful that this proposal will be viewed as a positive step towards ensuring that staff are fairly compensated for weekend work, while also addressing the needs of the organisation to provide a high standard of service every day of the week.
