ROSTERING ARRANGEMENTS – SB RAIL (BABCOCK RAIL & SWIETELSKY)

 

An avoidance of dispute meeting has taken place between your RMT Lead Officer and Reps and the Company regarding its failure to implement and adhere to part of the agreement relating to roster changes from a day shift to night shift, or vice versa. 

 

The Company has offered to pay for the night to day shift roster changes commencing from 22^ndNovember 2022 and up to shifts commencing on the 31^st March 2023. The Company stated this offer is a ‘good will gesture’ and is an enhancement from its initial offer covering 22^nd November 2022 until 9^th February 2023. Roster changes from days to nights will continue to be paid going forward.

 

Your Lead Officer responded by stating this is a derisory offer and does not meet the terms of the roster agreement which was made in good faith. The National Executive Committee has considered this matter and instructed me to hold an e-referendum of you and your colleagues with a strong recommendation to reject this offer.

 

The referendum will close at midday on Tuesday 9^th January 2024. 

 

Referendum Instructions

 

Members will shortly receive an email from 'RMT Referenda' which will allow you to register your vote. Please follow the instructions and make sure you complete this by no later than 12:00 hours on Tuesday 9^th January 2024.
