FOR THE ATTENTION OF: SOUTH WALES CORE VALLEY LINES MAINTENANCE & OPERATIONS MEMBERSEMPLOYED BY AMEY INFRASTRUCTURE WALES & TRANSPORT FOR WALES
Dear RMT Member,
RTES OF PAY & CONDITIONS OF SERVICE 2024 – AMEY INFRASTRUCTURE WALES (TFW)
Your Regional Organiser and representatives have been involved in pay negotiations with your employers, in order to seek a pay award for 2024 that adequately compensates you and your colleagues for your work. This would apply to Maintenance and Operations members employed by Amey Infrastructure Wales and Transport for Wales members within the South Wales Core Valley Lines.
Following the rejection of a derisory below inflation offer and consultation with your representatives a slight improvement has been offered, which still falls far short of your reasonable expectations.
This matter has been considered by the National Executive Committee which has instructed me to inform the company of our rejection and to commence a ballot for industrial action. I am currently making the necessary arrangements to commence with this ballot and will advise you of the details in due course.
In the meantime, I urge all members to ensure that their details are up to date with the RMT. Members can contact the union if their employer, workplace location, job title, or home address has recently changed. To update your details, please login to eMembership or contact the RMT Helpline by email at info@rmt.org.uk, or the Freephone Helpline on 0800 376 3706.
I will keep members advised of all further developments.
Yours Sincerely
Michael Lynch
General Secretary
