STAGECOACH GROUP’S CASH HANDLING INSTRUCTIONS
The ballot for strike action opens today and ballot papers will be hitting doormats very shortly. It goes without saying that as soon as you receive your ballot paper you should place your vote and see that it is returned to the independent scrutineer as quickly as possible and I would respectfully ask that you encourage all your RMT colleagues to use their vote.
We must collectively keep the pressure up to ensure that the vital role you play is recognised; it is absolutely essential that this safety measure is reintroduced to protect our bus driving members.
Therefore, your union needs you all to return a magnificent ‘YES’ vote in the ballot. If the statutory thresholds are not met, then no industrial action can happen – even if members vote overwhelmingly ‘yes’ for strike action. Therefore, IF YOU DON’T VOTE – IT COUNTS AS A ‘NO’ VOTE. We cannot allow the company to win and use draconian anti-trade union laws to end our dispute to protect you and your colleagues.
Important Please Note: The independent scrutineer for RMT Ballots and Elections is now 'Civica Election Services' and not the 'Electoral Reform Society'. Letters from Civica are not Junk Mail and should be opened.
If you do not receive your voting paper from the independent scrutineer, or know of a colleague who has not received it by Monday 21st December 2020, please urgently contact the National Helpline by e-mail at email@example.com or by ‘phone on 0800 376 3706 and a replacement will be sent out to you first class.
