RMT SUSPENDS INDUSTRIAL ACTION ON 2^ND & 6^TH APRIL 2024

MEMBERS TO WORK NORMALLY ON BOTH DAYS

 

Dear Colleague

 

STP (SHORT TERM PLANNING DIAGRAMS), 60 MINUTE COMPULSORY OVERTIME IMPOSITION, TRAIN MANAGERS – AVANTI WEST COAST

 

I write with regards to the above dispute and to inform you that further discussions have been held with your Union Representatives and AWC management over the imposition of +60 minutes compulsory overtime on short term planning diagrams. I am pleased to inform you that good progress has been made and a proposal has been tabled.

 

The union’s National Executive Committee has recently considered the company’s proposals and has taken the decision to suspend the forthcoming industrial action due to take place on Tuesday 2^nd April and Saturday 6^th April 2024.

 

Therefore, all our AWC Train Manager grade members are instructed to work normally on both these days.

 

Please also be advised that the Executive Committee has instructed for an electronic referendum of all my AWC Train Manager grade members on the proposals and I am currently making the necessary arrangements for this to be carried out.
