STRIKE ACTION SUSPENDED

MEMBERS INSTRUCTED TO WORK NORMALLY

Dear Colleague,

BREAKDOWN IN INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS – RAIL GOURMET (PADDINGTON DEPOT)

As you are aware, we have been in dispute with Rail Gourmet over three outstanding issues that has seriously impacted you and your colleagues.  You will recall that the union's National Executive Committee considered the matter and believed that the only way to get management to find a meaningful resolution to the three outstanding issues was by taking further strike action.

However, I can now advise that due to the steadfast action and solidarity shown by you and your colleagues, management has finally provided meaningful proposals on the issues effecting you all. Therefore, the National Executive Committee has considered the matter and has decided to suspend the industrial action.

Therefore, the strike action called for00.01 Hours on Wednesday 11th March 2020 until 23.59 Hours on Friday 13th March 2020 is SUSPENDED

You and your colleagues are instructed to work normally and book on for your shifts as normal.

Furthermore, the NEC will be meeting your representatives and Lead Officer to discuss the company’s proposals. I would like to thank you all for your hard work and clear solidarity during this dispute. I will continue to keep you fully advised and will update you on the outcome of the discussions.

UNITY IS STRENGTH

Yours sincerely
